Xiaoxiang International Printmaking Center Residency



From May 10-June 16th, 2016 Liz was the visiting printmaker at the Xiaoxiang International Printmaking Center associated with Changsha Normal University in Changsha, China. She worked with Silkscreen Master Printer Mr.Jian Feng Tang to complete five silkscreen prints which are now part of her Oklahoma Landscapes/Whose Fault series. Her residency included an artist lecture, and culminated in a solo exhibition, Energy Landscapes, at the Center. Liz also delivered the lecture Geology/Process/Esthetics in Beijing at the China University of Mining and Technology. She is included in their exhibition East Meets West: Selected Artworks from 8 Contemporary Artists from June 10th to July 10th. Her trip was generously supported by the OVAC Creative Projects Grant, the O. Gail Poole Travel Award, the OSU Arts and Sciences Travel Grant, and the Department of Art, Graphic Design and Art History¹s Department Head Grant.
